Nunga recorded the hottest day of the year yesterday and few more new highs can be expected in the few more days. Max will hover around 35 and 36. We might need to wait until April end/May to see our first 40.

  34. Looks like it was a very productive meet today at Tower Park hosted by the Anna Nagar West gang. Hope Shiva or Jeetender can summaries the points discussed today.

    • Nothing special Kea. Mouli, Selva Fun, GTS, Pradeep John. Jeetu n me spent some time. As usual GTS. Selva n Pradeep were engrossed in deep conversation related to GFS forecast of April rains from 18th onwards and few points related to Orographic rains , SWM thunderstorms season etc..Jeetu was busy with his own version of Biriyani and weather..Mouli ‘s interest in rainfall data and stats ..Missed many of our bloggers.

    • I joined only at 6.00 pm (So i will summarize what happened between 6 to 7.30 pm.

      1. Selva appologised to Novak that he will be regular in forthcoming meetings as he was absent in last meet and has vowed that love comes 2nd to weather.

      8. Why Northern Band Avoid Southern Band

      • Yes, you have opened about 56 Windows related to weather page in my phone..Took 20 minutes to close it

      • GTS… Planning for a Philippines trip in Sept… atleast this time I need a Cat 5….

      • Great , u r really lucky …..September has a good frequency , but El nino shouldn’t spoil ur luck ….
But CAT 5 ?? that is a bit doubtful …..Let us hope to get one …
So that u can tape an eyewall video and share it with us ……….

      • Elnino is quite friendly these days ,making system to form in west central pacific allowing the system to b in open waters for long time and resulting in super typhoon.

      • Oh , yes I forgot El nino this time around is Central Pacific , then yes , Philippines would not have much a difference , only South China Sea might see less nos……..

  35. The tiny droplets of water that make up fog are so small that it would take seven thousand million of them to make a single tablespoonful of water.

  36. Unusual track .usually system forming east of 100E or near Cocos islands tends to turn southeast . But still it’s not uncommon .

    • I could see from the picture with PJ and you telling something like this yesterday with your right hand showing how this happens!
