  2. Jupi, my sincere request to you. Lets please keep this NEM forecast inside Kea bloggers itself. No need to go public.

Ragesh from Vagaries Weather with over 40 Years experience in Meteorology still cannot predict NEM accurately and definitely not so early. From my experience unfortunately there is no prediction possible/available for NEM.

If you still want media coverage, please let me know I will send some ppl over to your place. But this has to be outside Keaweather.

  3. Jupi,

leave this press idea, i dont think its a wise idea. You put ur predictions and the rainfall for each month for various places this NEM. If it works out, we can got to press next year.

  4. Hi Jupi,

I sincerely appreciate your interest on NEM.

I am not that much experienced in this product. Eventhough…

Whatever data / analysis done by u and efforts involved is good one, we can discuss it in blog meeting.

In you want to go to Public, u need to be more experienced, you should understand the public opinion like what / who / how / when ? There are so many questions involved ?

There are so many professionals / experts are here, just listen to them.

If u feel the message hurts you, I am really sorry for that.

Anyway Best wishes for you NEM forecast.

  5. Jupi/Kea—Our blog in itself is a public forum..Its almost enjoys a press status and the blogs status, appeal and those who religiously follow keeps growing by the day..Your forecast about the much awaited NEM will be read by many with keen interest in this forum than the actual press..Those who take serious note of weather will log on to a forum like Kea, Vagaries etc..You can do a nice presentation and present it here and im sure it will read with keen interest by many.

  6. Kea, PJ, svela
the pessimism is haunting u folks. I’m repeating the same statement…. I’m preparing the forecasts for Chennai than kea blog but it’ll be released from Keaweather forecasting team and hope there’s not much debate. BTW these forecasts are coming from models. I’m not forecasting on my own… SWM is dependent on models so is NEM. Press conference will happen in September…

  10. Happy birthday to Madras! The Oldest British built city in India. Born on August 22nd 1639. ( Even before English built a fort, Portuguese had built a fort with a port in Santhome, on Southern part of Madras in 1522 AD)–With Dhinakar Rajaram

  11. “Cyclone may miss Chennai

A depression over south-eastern Bay of Bengal that intensified into a cyclone has missed its date with the city.

After weather bloggers predicted a cyclone and possible rains for the city a few days ago, many residents had hoped for showers and cool winds to give them a break from the sweltering heat”

After this incident I have decided to keep a low profile with the media. These people twist and turn your words to suit them.

weather bloggers predicted a cyclone – Correct, and also mentioned it will affect between Orissa and Bangladesh

Possible rains for the city – Never said anything like that

Jupi- The sentence —-IMD had a difficult time with forecasting NEM, in order to help them,we have got some data………………………..Will in itself raise many eyebrows…..Good luck..

    • What about Dashman’ approval.

One more Jupie will also add “Rajesh from Vagaries will also put up a NEM forecast” Dont read much into it. Because it is not reliable. But the Keaweather bloggers NEM forecast is time tested and proven one.

We have Dash, Thala, kea, maddy, selva, jon, partha, rajendram, pradeep, senthil, vinodth and many others in our technical team.

We challenge IMD to put up their counter forecast, you press guys will know the truth on December 31st that Keabloggers are the most reliable for NEM forecast.

      With Thanks

      JUPIE.

Remember, my photo alone should come in newspaper.

      • Pradeep–Lol…Did you notice the dots………. after the word some data??? it explains the things you have said…
