    • tentatively it is on June 1st. No guarantees.

I feel it is better to plan this when it is 2-3 days away. Only then ppl can confirm if they can make it.

Will confirm next week Wednesday(29th) with all the details

  1. GFS looking strange… Hot and dry week ahead.. But shows some sort of formation at North east BOB somewhere between 28th or 29th may.. Looks like that system will move south east !!

  2. Those TS at 150-200km on the Chennai radar – are they glitches? If not, would be good to have a strong westerly blow them this way. But fat chance of it making it here without dissipating.

  3. how far BBC weather is reliable. It says rain for one week continuously in Chennai starting day after tomorrow. i don’t think so. they change the forecast every now and then. any thoughts on this?

    • I will take any forecast of rain for Chennai until June with a huge pinch of salt. I will be glad to be wrong but we are unlikely to see rain until 2nd week of June. And even that will be “torrential drizzles” in the evening after a HOT day 😛

  4. @ Vindothgobi,

    • @Kea..Till date im a big fan of Roger..of course I like Novak a lot for his all round game and his fighting abilities he has shown for the past ..Roger cos of his class still finds a way out to reach semis or finals of major tournaments. At the same time wimbledon is going to be the only bright chance where he can think of defending his title.. Moreover his back injury is bothering him a bit these days and i do not know whether you have noticed subtle changes he has made in his service motion..He has sacrificed serve speed to protect his back.It will be difficult for him at RG and I see only Rafa and to some extent Novak winning the cup.. Lets see.

  18. observing active cloud formation on both side of southern indian ocean. Especially dense clouds on western part. Maldives appeared to receiving the SW monsoon. Does this have anything to do with further advancement of monsoon?

  20. @jose

If i am not wrong i remember that you are from Kerala. as for as Kerala is concerned monsoon arrival date does not matter to them. From second week of may they will get rain almost every day in the evening. actually you cant even tell the difference between premonsoon showers and monsoon showers in Kerala. superb time of the year.
