  5. Very responsible rains….it rained heavily in south chennai ( good for chemba ) and lashing puzhal area after that….hope to get good numbers reservoir levels. Moderate in Kea area which mostly wastes water to the sea.

  6. Going on well?

Its not able to attract top players for many years now. Nadal was the last one to play here as world #2, he too never came back after the 6/0 6/1 trashing in 2008.
This year we have only 2 top ten players at #6 and #8.

I dont think this year will be last, but end is very near. Lets see what our lady has in mind.

      • @Sundar, Its not Indonesia for that matter, Turkey and China are bidding for it.Aircel’s contract as the main sponsor ends this year and its in the hands of TNTA to decide the fate. If depends on TNTA ‘S willingness in association with IMG to decide. Karti Chidambaram has already hinted that Chennai Open will stay in the city and they have to find the title sponsor soon.If only TNT A expresess its inability to hold the tournament then ATP has the powers to shift..

  8. whether A R Rahman live in concert show today evening at YMCA nandanam will get affected by rain??????? What is the forecast for today evening. Radar show some activity of rain within 50km radius after that nothing much. Whether we can trust the radar of now for forecast of evening

  9. Radar gets blue or yellow or red lines based on picking up rain signals. if rada does not show any such lines, it does not mean totally no rains for rest of the day. the absence of those lines only signify no rains in the near future of one or two hours. radar can be contineoulsy viewed to get to know the position.

now lot of thick blue and redlines within 50 kms south east, east of chennai. if it spreads, we might get one more useful spell, but it looks like places beyond guindy to tambaram rains would be heavy.

i feel this spell might bring some more useful showers till tomorrow. let us see. as today is the start of garbottam, we can expect few more heavy showers soon, consideirng the fact that moon is also placed well in cancer.
