  4. Moon is out! it is many years since I saw moon on the horizon at 2 pm. Atmosphere has minimum dust to scatter sun’s light. If tonight it is not cloudy, one can see Comet McNaught in North east – east after 3 am and conjugated Jupiter and Uranus from 1 am in the east.

  5. KN,

i almost got a sunstroke at 10 am in bangalore. The sun here is much stronger than in Chennai.

Believe it or not my wife has brought sweaters for the kids.

  13. hi kea guys good mrng.its constantly raining in vjwada since yesterday ni8 and the pattern is from rain to drizzle and drizzle to rain

  14. @radhakaishna…seems to be a ciruclation over north coastal andhra…heavy rain warning for north coastal AP

  15. Nellore 3cm
    Mangalore 2 cm
    Kozhikode,Vishakapattanam,Kurnool,Hyderabad, Tiruchi Airport all 1cm !!

Chennai and Bangalore ditched again 😦

  16. very bad that tambaram did not receive a single thunderstorm this year!!!!…..last year around same date the seasn started!!1

  17. this year given the buffer given by Laila… technically both Chennai and Chennai AP should end up in 60cm before the NEM takes charge.. all predictions point to an extremely good october for india.. i dont know if it means extended SWM 😦

  18. extended SWM is no problem….chennai’s rain season will extended till jan ….thats gr8!!..extended SWM means extended NEM too!!

  19. the bay of bengal branch is utter flop this year, its really lazy, stupid evrythng now nt even a huge cloud mass over bay of bengal, just a trace of sun is visible here in vjwada with drizzle continuing slightly

    Current Location – 19.7N and 71.4E
    Pressure – 1010mb
    Intensity – 15kts

It has moved north….it is expected to strengthen and move eastwards towards Mumbai

  21. HEY GOD pls destroy entire western ghats so that andhra and tamilnadu receive rains or strengthen bay of bengal branch and its usually reported that bay of bengal branch is stronger than arabian sae branch but seems its pakka opposite and bay of bengal branch is the worst monsoon branch in the entire world,it has no guts to throw heavy showers over andhra and tamilnadu

  22. Bay of bengal branch is the most powerful branch Radhakrishna… its the life line which gives rains to oriissa, bihar, west bengal, north east, jharkand, chattisgarh, madhya pradesh, uttar pradesh, rajasthan, delhi, punjab, haryana.. arabian sea branch just to west coast and west india

  23. Kar where is Vellore and Walajahpet 😐 😐 😐 better change ur doc name to western vellore district

  24. if i enter vellore…then all the traces ill hav to enter..so it will becom tideous…n walahjapet..i don think it appeared in the imd list ..i remember only one 2cm!

  25. ya karthik narayan coromandal coast is from krishna district in coastal andhra to kanyakumari district and for coromandal coast its nt south west monsoon its north east monsoon,so me staying in vijayawada on edge of coromandal coast should nt expect rains from south west monsoon,so i should wait for north east monsoon.can i know the link of live precipitation map?

  26. ya karthik raghavan its true i have been staying here for 10 years and everytime it rains in november definitely and rainy days even goes to 20 days out of 30 days but it rains some what less in december bcauz its winter and dont u know what happened in october 2009 which is north east monsoon season?there are heavy rains here which caused deadliest andhra floods in october 2009.

  27. and i never forget the november month of north east monsoon guys bcauz i always remember KHAI MUKH CYCLONE AND WONDERFUL NISHA CYCLONE.but khaimukh is fantabulous.when i was going to college in the morning there were horrible gusty winds from khaimikh cyclone and nisha also gave wonderful rains and i know what devastiation nisha caused in tn

  28. hey i never lie.its maximum in november. sry normal is just around 10-12 days and that 20 days max is in november nt october.in 2009 it used to rain continuously in evening from starting of my exam to ending where i wrote exams for 14daysI(btech exams)
