The Storm may cross Pondicherry but we are in the Funnel and we are going to get the maximum rains according to GFS.
Dont be surprised if Cola puts up 200 mm rainfall

Atlast people in this blog learnt that…If a cyclone is going to form after in the final week of December. It will be a Very Severe Cyclonic Storm or plus.
This is the third time its happening. 1964 Dhanushkodi Super Cyclone (Wind speeds of 280 km/hr) and 2000 Srilanka Very Severe Cyclone (wind speeds of 170 kn/hr)
And Now its our Very Severe Cyclone Thane (Wind Speeds of 190 km/hr)

The first drizzles of Thane has started some 1hour back. I was returning from Chengalpet and I had to use my car’s windshield wipers.
May be the rains are starting now only in Villivakkam which is in northern fringes of the city.
